BTS released their first single on June 12, 2013, and haven’t stopped since. This seven-member boy band has been releasing hit songs and albums ever since their debut! In fact, BTS is the highest ranked K-pop group in Billboard history. All 7 BTS members, Jimin, Jungkook, Jin, RM, V, Suga, and J-Hope are involved in creating their music, from writing lyrics and even producing tracks.

BTS’ first single, “No More Dream,” was written by band members RM, Suga, and J-Hope with their producers.
“We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2” is the second single from their album. The lyrics discuss overcoming the many attacks the group faced by continuing to work hard despite being looked down upon.

“N.O” (from O!RUL8,2?) was BTS’ first K-pop release and like their first single “No More Dream,” the title track is about the pressure on students to become “studying machines” rather than finding a true calling in life.

Wake Up was the first Japanese album from K-pop group BTS to include songs not previously released on any of their albums in Korean. However, none of the songs received a music video of their own. The title track, “Wake Up” has similar themes to “No More Dream” and “N.O.” as the lyrics detail the young men growing tired of being overworked and pressured by their parents.

The lead single for The Most Beautiful Moment In Life Pt.1, “I NEED U,” served as a departure for BTS. The members explained that the song is about losing love and the anxiety that comes with it.

The Japanese release of BTS’s “FOR YOU” was the first time an official song from the group did not appear on an album released by the group in Korea. It’s a soft, romantic song about longing to be with one’s partner as distance keeps them apart.

Many of the members contributed to the lyrics of the song “Run,” including RM (Kim Namjoon), Suga (Min Yoongi), V (Kim Taehyung), Jungkook (Jeon Jeongguk), and J-Hope (Jung Hoseok).

It’s amazing to see the transformation of BTS, their music and performance. BTS is such a fun K-pop group and we love how they have remained true to themselves.
