About This Print
Fifteen animal brains, side by side, in alphabetical order: from the brain you’d find in a dolphin to the one in a wild boar. Each one is labeled with its common and scientific name, so you can compare how brains change from species to species.
I’ve been making neuroscience art since 2015 for people in psychology, neuroscience and veterinary neurology. This print brings that work to risograph: three inks layered by hand, so the colors blend and shift a little in every copy.
It’s made for a vet clinic wall, a neurology office, a lab, or a gift for a new vet or neuroscience graduate.

Questions
Does it come framed?
No. The print is unframed and ships rolled in a sturdy mailing tube. It fits a standard 11 × 17 inch frame, or a larger frame with a mat cut for an 11 × 17 print.
Will it be curled when it arrives?
A little, from the tube. Unroll it and lay it flat under a few heavy books for a day or two, and it relaxes flat. Handle it with clean, dry hands.
How big is it?
11 × 17 inches (about 28 × 43 cm), including a white border around the image.
What paper is it printed on?
Neenah Exact Vellum Bristol: a sturdy, bright white bristol stock with a soft vellum texture that holds riso ink beautifully.
Is it signed?
Yes. I sign and title every print by hand.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close. Risograph prints one ink color at a time, so color and registration (how the layers line up) vary slightly from print to print. That’s part of the charm of riso: every print is a little bit one of a kind. Screens also show color a little differently.
How long does shipping take?
Ground shipping within the US is $5, and free on orders over $75. I ship from Portland, Oregon within 3 to 5 business days, and USPS Ground Advantage takes 2 to 5 days after that. Need it sooner? Choose Priority Mail at checkout for $24. I ship Priority orders within 1 to 2 business days, and they arrive 1 to 3 days after that.
Do you ship outside the US?
Not from this shop yet. International buyers can find my prints in my Etsy shop, which ships worldwide.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 14 days of delivery. Return shipping is paid by the buyer, and the print needs to come back in its original condition. Full returns policy.
How should I care for it?
Like most prints, it keeps its colors best out of direct sunlight. Framing it behind glass protects it from dust and fingerprints.
